Sebks's journey to acquire his first independent timepiece offers a captivating glimpse into the world of high-end watch collecting, blending the thrill of the chase with personal touches. His detailed photo essay not only showcases the unique Sarpaneva Moomin but also captures the essence of a memorable road trip through Switzerland. This article highlights why the experience of acquiring a special watch is often as significant as the timepiece itself.

Dear All,

Here are a few pics of a fantastic WE in Geneva, I drove there with my wife and kids to pick up something very special!

First a refueling stop in Vevey

I meant « driver and passenger Â» refueling smile

And here it is! Sarpaneva Moomin, LE of 100 pieces with 25*4 different hand colours. Mine are “flame blue.

Morning light shows the blue hands over a monochromatic dial

Which immediately gets some magic in the shades

View from the hotel - quite cold wink

We took a small detour on the way back to Zurich: the road from Geneva to Le Brassus was extremely fun, even on winter tires!

Another lume shot: each dial has a unique combination of hand applied luminova… because “dreams come alive at night”

Cheers

Seb

Sarpaneva is my favorite indie watchmaker, and this Moomin-inspired line is one of his most original creations yet! Thanks a bunch for the outstanding candid pictures, they convey the design and details much better than processed press shots! Enjoy it thoroughly, Filip

1) the rear space of the 992 is surprisingly decent 2) they’re 11 and 7 so not that tall yet 3) when I was their age my father was driving a Renault 21, I had plenty of rear space, actually wished I had a lot less =>my thinkin: my kids will be confortable in a car when they pay for it

Wow, I'm surprised the car fit luggage for 2 adults and 2 kids!
