P.boxster's post highlights the IWC Grande Complication Ref. 3770, a significant piece in IWC's horological history, showcasing a black dial variant. This reference is celebrated for integrating multiple high complications into a remarkably wearable form factor. The discussion that follows delves into the watch's technical prowess and its place within the broader landscape of complicated timepieces.

The best version of the 3770. Kurt Klaus, Renaud et Papi, Hanno Burtscher, Valjoux, IWC... all the best had a hand in the creation of this! That model is on my shopping list even though I'm not an IWC "collector" in the broader sense. Best, Tim
Has it w white face. Platinum on bracelet. Impressive watch
Beautiful black dial and overall design. I didn’t realize IWC makes pieces like this. Thanks for sharing.
Even if the Chrono should be a Rattrapante, and the Minute Repeater a Grande Sonnerie, but at least we have something very close, and not just one or two classic complications! Best, Nicolas
... it’s not the Destriero Scafusia, “only” the classic “GC” Ref. 3770. Chronograph, perpetual calendar and minute repeater, in platinum. All this in a very wearable case with nice heft and haptics...
It‘s my only IWC and there is no other on my wishlist...
