Team,

I got a call from the IWC boutique because I had asked about the newer Aquatimer and they arrived.

Today, a nice Saturday I went to the IWC Boutique to see then "in metal".

Of course, since I was with wife and grandchildren, we had a nice lunch on a steak house that is located on the same mall.

Enough say, here are the pictures:

1) The "box"

2) White dialed Aquatimer Automatic

3) It's clear my preference (white dialed)

4) The black dialed Aquatimer Automatic

5) The Aquatimer 2000 (too big for my wrist - 46mm if I remember)

6) The box contained some interesting Ingenieur GMT (43mm ... very nice)

7) The white dialed version of the Inge GMT

8) Another shot of the Inge GMT

9) The Portofino gold cased

10) Portofino, ardoise dialed.

11) A bad picture of the Portuguese Chronograph Classic "Laureus edition". Blue dialed. Very nice but I prefer my ardoise one.

A warm thank you to the IWC boutique team that made those picture possible.

On a summary, the Aquatimer Automatic, the white dialed version entered on my wish list.

I only need to learn if it can accept a standard strap (it seems possible but I'm not 100% sure).

Cheers,

Nilo

Nilo, thanks for sharing!

I like the black dialed aquatimer. The price for this new colletion is the same of the old one? Cheers

The MSRP ...

Should be similar (in US$) but they will confirm along the week. Cheers, Nilo

Thanks for this glimpse on the '14 collection, Nilo.

Honestly, it has been years that I don't understand where IWC is going, stylistically... The watches go bigger and bigger, loose the harmony of the first models, year after year. This '14 collection is no exception to the rule. Especially the Aquatimers. A bit sad. Best, Nicolas.

This seems to be the curse of all manufactures ...

Size increase is the norm. Examples: Rolex: from the nice Sea Dweller 40mm to the 44mm. JLC: Just look the Amvox line, not to mention the the Seals. Omega: 44/45mm is the norm. I'm glad that there is a 42mm Aquatimer and a 42mm Portuguese chrono Classic (did you tried one?). Cheers, Nilo

That Ingenieur GMT looks lovely.

The light dial is particularly nice--if I were in the market for a new light dial IWC sport watch, I think I'd take that one over the new Aquatimer. Though, truth is, I scratched that itch with one of their releases from last year:

I had a similar itch but ...

In black: Blau, welcome to the PuristSPro. Cheers, Nilo
