Amanico champions the Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre line, particularly the Unique Travel Time Paris Boutique Edition, as the manufacture's most horologically compelling collection. He delves into the innovative 'Dual Wing' concept, explaining how its independent power trains enhance accuracy and enable sophisticated complications. Amanico's admiration for the Unique Travel Time's minute-increment setting and digital jumping hour highlights its blend of technical prowess and romantic design.
I will say it once again, the Duometre line is, in my opinion, the most interesting line from the Manufacture, from an horological point of view.
The concept of the Dual Wind, which consists in two barrels with their respective gear train, feeding in an independent way the time, and another complication OR, in the case of the Quantème Lunaire the balance wheel, is as astute as it is interesting.
Indeed, this way, the time function is not polluted by the complication, serving the purpose of a greater accuracy.
With the Duometre Unique Travel Time, you also have a friendly complication, thought and conceived in a sophisticated way: The time zone is set by increments one one minute, and you have a digital jumping hour.
The globe adds a touch of romantism and feeds your traveler's imagination.
The backside is another pleasure for the mind, with a nicely decorated movement, the Cal 383.
From my point of view, the Unique Travel Time is one of the most appealing Duomètre.
No wonder why it is very high in my wish list, with a certain Quantième Lunaire in its enameled version.
And that makes me dream about an all new Duometre, with a new complication. Just to feed the Duometre family.
Best,
Nicolas
