It is a miracle I was able to come back to Paris, today.

I was invited for a quick trip at the Manufacture, to see some watches, and to prepare some articles.

So, I left Paris Thursday night, and came back today, with a lot of images in my head and some passionate discussions with the usual suspects ( and friends ) at the Grande Maison.

After a short night at the Hotel Des Horlogers, it was time to work...

But, just before leaving the Hotel, some pictures of the Village... Quite snowy, and damn freezing ( - 13° Celsius is something frightening when you come from Paris! )

I love this old church!

Snow, White, immaculate white... Captivating:

With such as snow, I started to have some doubts to be able to find a train to go back to Paris... And the team was starting to worry a bit for me, too...

... At the Contrary of ' Tonio " who seems to not care about Cold and Snow:

A part of the JLC Team under the snow... Freezing while they were waiting for me to take some outdoor pictures:

Taking pictures, yes, but of what watch???

Hmmmm?

They let me play for the whole day with the new Duometre UTT...

It is much more appealing when you don't use a flash, don't you think?

After a quick lunch, it was time to take some funny pictures. I played the model for JLC.... And for the Unique UTT:

Obviously, I am starting to love it!

wink

After a short photo session of some historical calibres ( I am currently working on a huge review about Chronometry and JLC ), it was time to try to take the train for Paris.

And it came, with a big delay, but it came... Which let me some tme for a few last pictures...

Of the Train Station:

Of the snowy surroundings of Vallorbe:

And of my faithful companion, which is...

... The POlaris 65, of course. A watch which awakes ( which is indispensable when you have such a trip ), which reminds ( it is all about friendship ), and which always puts a smile on your face.

That is a Moderator's life: Risks, discoveries, pleasures, work and friendship.

All the best.

About the Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Ref. Polaris1965

The Memovox Polaris 1965 is a notable early iteration of Jaeger-LeCoultre's alarm-equipped diver's watch. This reference is distinguished by its triple-crown configuration and internal rotating bezel, a design that set it apart from other alarm watches of its era. It represents a significant development in the Memovox line, moving towards a more robust and purpose-built aesthetic while retaining the signature mechanical alarm function. The Polaris 1965 is recognized for its specific case construction and dial layout that differentiate it from subsequent Polaris models.

This particular reference features a stainless steel case, typically measuring 42mm in diameter, which was substantial for its time. It houses a self-winding mechanical movement, specifically the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 825, known for its reliability and integrated alarm mechanism. The watch is fitted with a domed acrylic crystal, contributing to its vintage profile. The design prioritizes legibility and functionality, with a black dial providing contrast for the luminous markers and hands.

For collectors, the Memovox Polaris 1965 holds interest as an original example of the Polaris series. Its relatively limited production and distinctive design elements make it a sought-after piece. It appeals to those who appreciate the historical evolution of the Memovox line and the brand's early ventures into watches with enhanced water resistance and specialized functions. The Polaris 1965 is a foundational model within the broader Memovox family.

Awsome share Nicolas...

The beginning of the snowy season is always a nice time to live again each winter, especially from Paris where we only had rain instead of snow .... You see, I already started to feel that way with your first pictures, and your shots here are going the same way: I think I really like this Duometre (just behind the chrono still). It could really be a traveling friend, a watch to look at from time to time when getting bored in a plane or a train or a station bench ... As I said, I never went to se

Soooo....

So that's what it looks like during the winter time! cool you got to spend some wrist time with the UTT. Where the cows out in the valley below? Usually you can hear their bells ringing. -MW

Didn't have much time to look for the cows, but I heard their bells, indeed. ;)

At 6.30 AM, you hear them,, as well as the cars of the working people arriving at the Manufactures. Best, my friend. Nicolas

I disagree. I am looking much better than him. :)))

As for 2013, you'll have to wait a bit, but there are some cool novelties, for sure! Best, Nicolas
