Andrea~'s original post explores the often-underestimated impact of strap choices on a watch's aesthetic and wearability. His experience with a Delugs strap, initially intended for an 'Ed White' chronograph but ultimately paired with a Reverso, offers a valuable case study for collectors navigating strap pairings. This article synthesizes community insights on how strap materials and colors can dramatically alter a timepiece's character, particularly for iconic models like the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso.

But after trying it on it didn't feel right, so I put it on the reverso and I like the result. The strap is from Delugs, the quality is great: the strap is soft and comfortable, the stitching feels high quality and the price is fair. The only problem? The finishing on the buckle is mediocre.

I prefer it to the darker color of the fagliano strap

The lighter color dresses it down a little, I like it

.. no reverso ever looked bad on that shade - looks a close match to the usual/traditional honey ostrich with ecru stitching.. al

I would find a JLC deployant which would look sharp.

The JLC deployant I have is too big for the strap, so I would have to find another one online
