Nicolas (amanico) initiates a compelling discussion on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon One Platinum PVD, a timepiece that challenges traditional aesthetics with its bold design choices. His post invites collectors to weigh in on whether this particular execution, featuring a platinum case with PVD coating and red accents, aligns with the spirit of such a complex horological creation. This article synthesizes community perspectives on JLC's venture into a more 'brutal' aesthetic for a high complication.

This model is for me still a classy watch which should be elegant and refined. Doing PVD make it more sporty and in my opinion not adequate for this model.
I’m in the camp of „that is a little bit much“ With the retrograde hour, tourbillon, small time indicator at the top, it echos for me some classical watchmaking and hence I feel it is a little bit much. Funnily enough I was looking at EL2 recently and there i see a watch that is going for pushing technological and innovation boundaries … hence it wouldn’t too much there. Hope it makes sense? PVD coating on these kinds of watch doesn't do it justice imho. some would love these variants though!
