Nicolas (amanico) shares his extensive three-week experience with a Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre, posing the question of what constitutes a 'real' watch experience. His post invites collectors to consider the profound impact of living with a high-horology timepiece, moving beyond initial impressions to a deeper understanding of its design and engineering. This article synthesizes community insights on the Duomètre's evolution, wearability, and market position.

I need 2 things. 1. bigger wrists 2. more money These watches are amazing. I really love the new watches of JLC and IWC and what they pull off dial and movement wise.
designing and building this movement is truly astonishing. Haute Horlogerie is the one genre where modern watches can hold their own against vintage. Unfortunately two things are to small to consider one of these beauties: 1. My wrists 2. My watch budget How did you find the wearing experience? How is the case diameter and thickness for daily wear?
near a Boutique, but I always feel a bit awkward when I try on a watch only for trying it on when I know that I can't afford it atm. Maybe there will be an opportunity in the multi-brand jeweler where I buy my wifes jewelery and new Rolex watches (only brand I buy new for obvious reasons ) - they know me as a good customer and ai won't feel out of place trying on expensive stuff...
