He invites readers to consider the aesthetic evolution of the Master Control line, particularly in light of the 2020 case redesign, and poses a thought-provoking question about the potential of combining the new case with the older black dial. That Master Control has the former case. As you know, the case has been totally revisited in 2020.

To be compared to the new one:

Whose case is more elegant, in my opinion.

The black dial is awesome, it adds power to an elegant and quite sober dial in silver.

Now imagine the new one, with this black dial. Wouldn't it be a killer?

Best,

Nicolas

I love the JLC Master Control Line, particularly the watches with black dials

I think they are a great option if you want a dressier "GADA" (go anywhere, do anything) watch. Some might find the silver dials to be a bit sterile. But I find the black dials to be sterile and unassuming.

Sober doesn't mean uninteresting, in my opinion. I find both appealing, they just play a different partition.

Ugh, I made a boo boo.

I do find the silver dials to be a bit sterile. I have a MUT Moon, which I bought nearly a decade ago, and even I find it cold every now and then. The black dials, however, I find to be charming* and unassuming. Under either circumstance, silver and black dials are both interesting. And, as Juliosotto mentioned, the black dial in particular is the dress watch equivalent of the Explorer 1. Dollar for dollar, I think you would be hard pressed to find a brand that presents a better value than JLC i

I have to agree. The Master Control is a great family product, it always was, too. As for the MUT, it is the same. The Blue MUT Moon is a killer, as was the Black.
