Nicolas (amanico) initiates a focused discussion on the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Géographique Sector Dial, a piece from the 2017 collection celebrating 25 years of the Master Control 1000 Hours. His original post provides a critical aesthetic review, highlighting design choices like the removal of the power reserve indicator and the use of skeletonized hands. This article synthesizes community insights, offering a comprehensive perspective on this distinctive JLC reference.

I am sure it is doable
But I appreciate what JLC was trying to do. Taking a vintage concept and making it contemporary. With skeletonized hands and bright blue accents — No one will think these are vintage watches. The Patek and Longine’s are firmly looking behind. In the case of the Longines heritage sector, my pick here!
From the very first time I saw them, I liked them a lot. The sector dial and the carefully selected colors on the dial are a great combination. The multi time zone is a pragmatic watch yet to me the least attractive. The time only one would have been my favorite but the date indicator ruined it. I don’t mind a date indicator but this one is so tiny and out of balance
I think the pared-down Geographic is cool... The chrono has all that it needs - no more and no less... The MC would have suited me better if the date had been placed at 6 o'clock with a silver disc and blue date. Then, it would have "blended" with the dial enough to almost be hidden. -Dean
