Nicolas (amanico) takes us back to the early 1990s, highlighting how the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Géographique, with its innovative travel complication and elegant design, captured his imagination and introduced him to the brand beyond its iconic Reverso and Polaris lines. His reflection invites fellow collectors to share their own 'first JLC' stories, revealing the diverse models that initially drew them into the world of La Grande Maison.

The Master Géographique was the first watch, in the early 90's, to catch my interest and to introduce me to the brand. Ok, I knew the Polaris, and the Reverso, but the Géographique was, for me, pure magic.

Most of all, for its unusual complication. Think about it: How many travel watches existed in the early 90's? The Patek WT and the GP WW TC came in 2000.

The Géographique offered a superb, very classy aesthetics, a friendly, unusual complication, and, for the platinum version, a hinged case back.

The question? Which Jaeger Lecoultre watch caught your interest for the brand, for the first time?

Best,

Nicolas

And reasonable prices. This was in 2012 or 2013 and i liked the MUT moon the most for its small bezel, classic looks and moonphase complication.

These were my favorite pages... I have to say that this was not my favorite watch, but the watch i could actually pay for back then.

I was fortunate to find this pink gold edition in 2005 before it was discontinued and replaced by the Master Calendar:
