Nicolas (amanico) revisits the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Grande Ultra Thin Small Second Blue (2017), reflecting on its enduring appeal three years after its release. His contemplation highlights the watch's elegant design and raises a common collector's dilemma regarding ideal sizing and movement preferences. This piece offers a fresh look at a modern classic through the eyes of a seasoned enthusiast.

Sober, cool, class, elegant... It would have been mine if slightly smaller ( 38 / 39 mm would have been perfect ) and with a Cal 849 inside ( I know, I know, the Cal 849 doesn't have a small second )...

Still, I am thinking about it, after these three last years.

Best,

Nicolas

Very nice watch.

This is one that I've really wanted to see in the metal - it appears to have the simple elegance and refinement of design that JLC demonstrates when at its best.

If the dial treatment is anything like the blue sunray on the Rendez-Vous I gave to my wife, it would be lovely.
