Nicolas (amanico) shares his profound connection with the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Minute Repeater, particularly the platinum 'Antoine LeCoultre' edition. He reflects on how this 2005 release, while perhaps less complicated than the Gyrotourbillon One, represented a pivotal moment for JLC, showcasing a fresh and original take on a traditional complication. His personal journey with the titanium version underscores the enduring impact of this reference.

This watch is a symbol for me. One of these watches which make you travel in time, which reminds you how you felt when you saw it.

Ok, I knew that Jaeger Lecoultre was able to make some nice and fine watches, such as the Reverso Rose Gold Series from 1991 to 2000. I also saw the birth of the Gyrotourbillon One in 2004, which was something, in terms of creative horology.

But, even if less complicated, the Master Minute Repeater unveiled in 2005 was THE watch which made me realize that something was happening, at Jaeger Lecoultre. A young, fresh, original and totally revisited traditional complication.

A storm in the minute repeaters category.

Even if I went for the titanium version, and I absolutely don't regret my choice, each time I see this platinum version, my heart beats faster.

Best,

Nicolas

Not the kind you can explain to your girlfriend, but it's orgasmic ;-)

Both Titanium and Platinum are special partners. You were right from start the Titanium is more Rocky In Roll ;-)

The good thing is that you can't go wrong with any of these two. They have their own charm and personality. I don't regret my choice, for sure. Thanks, DΓ©dΓ©. [nt]

Have to agree. Even if, from my point of view, the titanium aged even better. [nt]

Hour and minute markets

have clear parallels with some PD Simplicity dials. How does the movement look? πŸ€”
