Amanico introduces the intriguing concept of Jaeger-LeCoultre's "Proto Zero" watches, which are reconditioned prototypes sold for charity. This post sheds light on these unique pieces, highlighting their significance as rare collector's items that also supported the "End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation."

You certainly heard about Jaeger Lecoultre " Proto Zero " watches.

The idea came to light in 2012, to support a noble cause, the " End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation " activities. 10% of each watch sold were donated to this organization.

All the " Proto Zero " were sold through the Hong Kong 1881 Heritage Boutique.

The " Proto Zero " are true prototypes, reconditioned to be as qualitative as any other definitive watch. They are badged " Proto Zero " on their dial or case back.

There were several through the years.

I will show you those I found on the net, which is far from being an exhaustive list.

- The Duomètre à Spherotourbillon:

- The Master Grande Tradition Minute Repeater in titanium:

- Reverso Guilloché Blue Enamel:

- Reverso Gyrotourbillon 2 in rose gold:

- Duometre à Quantième Lunaire White Gold Black Dial:

There were many others such as the Extreme Lab II in rose gold, the Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon 43, the Grande Reverso Ultra Thin 1931 in Rose Gold, the Duometre à Chronographs White gold Black Dial and so on...

If you are lucky enough to own one, or if you have some pictures of them, please feel free to post them.

Best,

Nicolas

I read about a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra-Thin Jubilee Proto-Zero as well from this article. Sadly no pictures of the actual watch. Best, David
