It was during the unveiling of the 2011 collection, which marked the 80th birthday of the rectangular icon.
We all know the steel TT Reverso 1931. We less know the rose gold version, and almost forgot that there was a Grande Reverso Enamel, by the way.
The Steel:
The Rose Gold:
The Enamel:
Both of these 3 share the same movement, the Cal 822.
But there are some huge differences.
- The dial, of course. The enamel is pure delight.
- The case: While the TT Reverso 1931 enjoy a thin and rectangular case ( 46, 8 x 27 x 7, 2 mm ), the Grande Reverso is more square, bigger, and much thicker ( 48, 4 x 29, 9 x 10, 24 mm ).
Still, these three have a lot of class.
We already have a good idea of what is and will be the 2016 collection, paying another homage to this icon and to its 85 birthday, as we announced and revealed the pre view of the collection to come. But maybe there is still a place for one or two surprises?
To be followed...
Best,
Nicolas
