Chalk's inaugural post delves into the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, sparked by snooker player Ronnie O'Sullivan sporting one during matches. This thread not only seeks to identify O'Sullivan's specific Reverso model but also initiates a valuable discussion on the practical considerations of choosing between the Classique and Grande Taille for smaller wrists. It offers insights into the aesthetic and functional preferences of new Reverso owners.

Hi there, first post here. Any snooker fans out there? I noticed that snooker player Ronnie has been spotting a reverso in some of his matches. I think its a classique, but can't be sure. Appreciate if someone with a good eye can help. I will put some images url which of show his watch since i am not sure how to post images.

Am thinking of getting a classique or grande taille myself. I think my wrist might be just a tad under 6 inches. Despite the small wrist, most of the salesman i spoke to feels that the grande taille is a better choice. Am leaning towards the grande taille as i prefer the moving second hand as well as the guilloche dial. But prefer the slimness of the classique. Will try the grande taille again to see if the lugs protrude from the wrist. If it does not, i think it will be the grande taille.

I think you perfectly summed the criterias, and especially one.

The lugs don't have to protrude from your wrist. The Reverso is an elegant watch, which has to be worn with... Elegance. Thanks for the picture, it is a very nice one. As for the watch, I would bet Classique, too. Best, Nicolas

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I went with the grande taille in the end. Could not be happier with my choice. The dial is beautiful and it its very elegant with the black leather strap. The moving second hand gives assurance that the watch is still moving. Out of curiosity, does the reversing mechanism ever get loose from flipping it too many times?

Now you owe us a picture!

I didn't notice that the case mechanism suffered from flipping it too often. Not on my Septantieme, at least. Best, Nicolas
