We had the opportunity to attend the Reverso Event at the Jaeger Lecoultre Ephemeral Café in Paris, two days ago.

Events are like parties. There are good and bad ones.

This one was a good one, for sure. The ambiance was cool, casual, the place was sumptuous, just close to the Elysée. It was also the opportunity to see some friendly faces I didn't see for two years for the reasons we all know too well. The French JLC Team was there, as well as the Swiss one. Mrs Renier, JLC CEO was there, too.

AND it was a good occasion to see some superb Reversos, too, as you will see below.

The three first floors are dedicated to watches, mainly Reversos, of course, but we could also see the Duometres, especially the Unique Travel Time in Red Gold. This Duometre is giving me some very tempting ideas...

As for the Reversos, you will have the pleasure to admire some great ones from a distant and recent past, to the nowadays stars.

Among the current stars, the Nonantiéme was in a good place, as well as the famous Quadriptyque which is really awesome in the real world. Which impressed me the most is the number of complications / case size ratio. They did a great job on that one.

The Quadriptyque:

The Nonantième:

I had the pleasure to discover a new series of enamel Reversos which pay a tribute to Van Gogh, Klimt and Courbet ( from right to left ), the Reverso Tribute Enamel Hidden Treasures Collection, each of them being limited to 10 pieces.

Here are their respective recto guilloché enamel dials:

The Courbet:

The Klimt:

The Van gogh:

There were also some interesting workshops, such as the decoration and the assembly of a Reverso movement. You can test your skill, there is a watchmaker who will explain to you how to proceed and who will help you. No worries, if you lose a screw, they have a huge stock. wink

This ephemeral place will be open till Christmas, so I can only recommend it to you. If you are or go to Paris, don't miss it:

15, Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré.

Best,

Nicolas

There's a reason...

My beloved uncle suddenly stopped wearing his vintage Daytona and Submariners after buying his Reverso. I've never seen him with another watch in the last 20 years at least!
