In 2011, Jaeger-LeCoultre unveiled two 'Tribute' models that captivated collectors: the Reverso 1931 and the Deep Sea Alarm. Author amanico revisits these significant releases, highlighting their enduring appeal and the enthusiastic reception they received at SIHH. His post serves as a timely reminder of JLC's ability to honor its heritage while creating watches that resonate deeply with enthusiasts.

2011 was a thrilling year, with the unveiling of these 2 Tributes, the Reverso 1931, paying an homage to the iconic rectangular watch born 80 years before, and the egendary but, at that time, less well known Deep Sea Alarm.

These two received a superb welcome in the alleys of the SIHH, in 2011.

And rightly so!

Best,

Nicolas

I love them. Those were the best times for JLC

To a very good friend at a very good price haha. I kept the US version.

I absolutely adore the art deco indices, the proportions, and the pure elegance of the Reverso Tribute sans seconds. I'd love to add one to my collection someday. I hope the 90th anniversary brings something just as beautiful and timeless, as opposed to highly complicated or ostentatious. Two absolute icons.

I was lucky to have been invited to the manufacturer’s some years ago and it was a incredible tour.

I was in love with the green dial Aston Martin one but shamefully I don’t remember the model name. Finally never bought it.

But there are so many others which are worth some serious consideration!
