Amanico's evocative photo essay, timed with the Venice International Film Festival, beautifully illustrates how Jaeger-LeCoultre watches become integral companions in life's most cherished moments. Through stunning imagery of his Septantième, Perpetual Calendar, and Minute Repeater, he demonstrates that these timepieces are not merely objects of luxury but active participants in travel, culture, and personal experiences, challenging the notion of keeping them hidden away.

There are watches to live with, and watches to dream with.

JLC certainly offers both of this kind of watches.

I will begin with some of my treasures, here, and will come back further with the heavy troops.

No red carpet, here, but the now famous red italian roof, for this Septantieme:

The link with Venice is obvious!

As a Star it is, it's reaching the sky,

But it also knows to enjoy simple pleasures, like some good farniente in an Olive Tree, while its moderator owner is having bad time in the swimming pool...

smile

Or a simple walk in a Croatian Garden at the sunset...

Others are more ...Let's say Urban, and prefer to stay in town, like this special Perpetual Calendar...

Its intellectual pleasure is to enjoy the panorama, without doing any other effort, counting on its own beauty to be admired.

She knows that she's beautiful, and that time is required to fully appreciate it, showing her whole beauty ot the Universe...Here, the Trieste Universe.

smile

The last one is looking for good life, as travels, nice food, without disdaining a nice escapade from time to time.

It is more polyvalent than the Perpetual Calendar, obviously.

While at Venezia, this pic was mandatory, as it was the meeting between 2 musical monuments, this MMR, and the Torre Dell' Orologio in the famous Piazza San Marco, which inspired so much Mr Schnyder for his Ulysse Nardin Minute Repeaters.

Nice food is also important for it:

And what is better than a nice walk in the fabulous Croatian Country, just before meeting friends ( Damian, in this case )?

Like the Stars ( they are ), they each have their own personnality, charm, and caprices, too.

But what would be Life without them?

A world without dreams?

Best,

Nicolas This message has been edited by amanico on 2009-08-29 06:59:06 This message has been edited by amanico on 2009-08-29 07:01:39 This message has been edited by amanico on 2009-09-02 08:24:47

Nicolas, I absolutely LOVE the 4th pic...

of the platinum Septentieme. Incredible shot and well-balanced with the shaded tree bark (gray). Simply stunning. -Dean

Agreed . . .

Thanks, Dean.

When I saw the Olive tree, I knew that I had to take a pic with the 70ème on it... Nice Chromatic composition, indeed. Best! Nicolas

I was really missing your poetic posts Nicolas…

I’m glad you’re back in great shape!!! Follows a picture of the Orologio taken from the balcony of San Marco Cathedral for your delight: The link of the Italian roof with Venezia is also obvious due to its tiles (as we chat about before): made in the nearby beautiful city of Treviso Thanks for such inspired pictures, my friend! I like the bells

and the two animated statues with big hammers who ring the bell at regular intervals. I think this make this square even more charming (and scare the pigeons once in a while)
