Amanico provides an overview of Jaeger-LeCoultre's novelties from SIHH 2017, focusing on new Duometre and Reverso models. His post details key specifications and design elements, offering a first look at the brand's direction for the year. This summary helps collectors understand the new offerings and their place within JLC's esteemed collections.

We already discovered the Three Duometres, The Spherotourbillon limited to 15 pieces, the Quantième Lunaire ( 60 pieces ) and the Chronographe ( 30 pieces ).

They both share a magnetite grey dial, a 42 mm rose gold case whose height is 14, 1 mm for the Spherotourbillon, 13, 6 mm for the Quantième Lunaire, and 13, 5 mm ( if my memory serves me well ) for the Chronographe.

For the record, the movements are the Cal 380 ( Chroongraphe ), Cal 381 ( Quantième Lunaire ) and 382 ( Spherotourbillon ).

For both of them, the gilt hands are made of gold plated, while the white hands are rhodium plated.

Now, some new Reversos:

The Reverso Tribute Duo comes, this year, in rose gold.

The case dimensions don't change: 42, 9 mm x 25, 5 mm x 9, 2 mm.

Cal 854A.

The Reverso Tribute Moon, after the Tribute Calendar from past year.

The case is generous: 49, 4 x 29, 9 x 10, 9 mm. In steel.

The movement is manual winding, Cal 853A. The picture will come later, as it was not available at the moment I wrote this presentation.

Reverso Classic Duo Small Second... In two sizes: Medium which is the same size than the Tribute Duo, and large, which is 47 x 28, 3 x 10, 3 mm.

Both are housing the Cal 854A, used in the Reverso Tribute Duo.

Here is the medium:

Since we are reviewing the Reverso novelties, let me show you the 2017 Atelier Reverso Collection.

This year, Jaeger Lecoultre played with the Reverso Classic Duo. Two sizes, medium ( 42, 9 x 25, 5 x 9, 2 mm ) or Large ( 47 x 28, 3 x 10, 3 mm ). 6 new dials:

Red:

Carbon Fiber:

Blue:

And three Stone dials:

Meteorite:

Marble Green:

And Tiger's eye:

The Rendez Vous line has already been discussed, some days ago.

The Night and Day:

The Moon:

And the Star, the Sonatina... I didn't have at the time I wrote the presentation a picture of the white gold version, so I post it right now:

The Geophysic Tourbillon Universal Time is a surprise. A limited edition of 100 pieces. The case is in platinum, 43, 5 mm big, 11, 24 mm high.

The Tourbillon is flying, which means that no bridge covers it. AND it is an orbital tourbillon, which mens that it turns all around the dial.

Of course, as its name suggests, this is also a world time watch.

The movement is an automatic one, here, the Cal 948.

The Hybris Artistica Mysterieuse is the new opus from that exclusive line which counted 12 members... Till now.

In fact, there are two: A ladies version, limited in 3 pieces, one piece in each color ( white, blue and red ), and a men's model, limited to 5 pieces.

The Ladies version comes in a 39 mm ( 13, 2 mm high ) white gold case, and the Men's in a 42 mm ( 13, 8 mm high ) skeletonized rose gold case.

The hours on both versions are displayed by a flying AND orbital tourbillon, while the minutes can be read thanks to a ruby mounted on a rotating disc ( ladies version ) or a gold powder arrow, on a rotating disc for the men's version.

The dial of the men's version is playing with skeleton, aventurine and mother of pearl, while the ladies version is blending mother of pearl and snow set ivy leaves.

Both versions house the Cal 941, which is an automatic movement, beating at 28800 vibrations per hour and offering a power reserve of 50 hours.

That's all for the moment. It is useless to say that you'd better stay tuned for some live pictures to soon come!

Best,

Nicolas

Hope you get the chance to go to some these parties that I imagine rival the Golden Globes. Being a geophyic lover myself, do you think it is a worthy addition to the line having now seeing this in the precious metal? Can't wait for the video reviews.

As an orbital tourbillon, does that mean the entire dial including the city ring and outer 24hr ring revolves around the dial? What about the printed Jaeger-Lecoultre name at 12? Regards, skyeriding
