In this evocative post, cfn shares a personal journey back to his roots in France, accompanied by two iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces. His narrative beautifully illustrates how luxury watches can transcend their function, becoming cherished vessels of family history and personal memory. This article explores how collectors like cfn imbue their watches with profound sentimental value, making them more than mere instruments of timekeeping.

Always make sure you have some good travel companions!

I spent 80% of this working week in France on a fairly intensive programme. Brought along my Polaris and one Reverso.

I also managed to visit where I lived when my father was trying for an MBA from the same school many, may years ago. The Polaris was on his arm back then.

Fantastic!

That's really great to recoonect with places and memories of the past, especially with watches that connect you or family to those memories. Wonderful!
