Nicolas, known as amanico on WatchProSite, presents a captivating look at the Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute to Deep Sea family. His original post highlights the historical significance and unique 'fiction tribute' concept behind these revered timepieces. This article delves into why these specific references, despite their short production runs, continue to resonate deeply with collectors and enthusiasts.

I say Tribute because we have two Tribute Deep Sea Alarms, here, and in the spirit, we also have, with the Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph, a superb fiction of what could have been a cool chronograph in the late 50's early 60's. So it is a Fiction Tribute. wink

The Deep Sea Alarm had a very short life, from 1959 to 1961. A bit like the moderns ( 2011 for the Tribute to Deep Sea Alarm and 2012 for the Deep Sea Vintage Chronograph. Ok, we also had the Deep Sea Chrono, in steel or Cermet, for some more years, as well as the Deep Sea Vintage which was in production after 2012, too, but this line has been discontinued.

Too bad, as I think Jaeger Lecoultre had something quite appealing, here.

Best,

Nicolas

Magnificent. I would thrilled if they brought it back.

Me too. As I wrote, too bad they only focused on the Polaris and that they gave up the Deep Sea line and the Geophysic, too.

Geophysic is another marvel. I still remeber your article about 2985. Imagine JLC bringing it back. What amazing idea!.

In total agreement. They had a line which would have allowed them to explore some cool complications, and they stopped it.
