Friends, as most of you surely know, is that JLC has a long tradition of Calendar watches.
If we go back quite a while into early to mid 40ies LGM had already what many here would call the summit of aesthetic & refined Triple calendar watches,

As I was browsing one of my JLC watch boxes in the vault, I sort of stumbled over a pair of TDs, which didn't have a lot of air recently.
So it was time & occasion for some wrist-time for these. I just wanted to share a few shots of my pair, one black one white, which always render lots of DNA & pleasure, when looking on their aesthetics and lines of design, the composition of the dials and their splendid cases.

For my humble opinion these represent one of the Best which LGM has ever come up with.

So here some few pics of calendars which always give lots of pleasure to me:

Side by side: black & white Triple Calendars, Ref 464 A

Their face, their stepped cases with the Teardrop lugs are hallmarks of their design characteristics

Needless to say, true pleasures on the wrist, with amazing patina.

Hope you liked these special calendars a bit -

I do .. quite a lot..

Best, hs

These references prove that the heart and soul of JLC is deeper than just alarms and reversing references. It's a wonder that the vintage market hasn't discovered them yet... and selfishly, I hope that they go "undiscovered" for a little longer ;-) Best, Tim

I slightly prefer the white dial one.

One or two questions to complete though: - are they fully today as they were when new? The hands particularly. - would you have a picture of the caliber(s)? - when did the perpetual calendar with moon started being produced? Thanks again for sharing. The world of vintage pieces tempts me a lot but I don't know yet where to start. Best, É.
