You did very well in buying this piece of art... and that's what it really is. More enthusiast should take the plunge and actively support brands like JD, just to show SWATCH they did right by establishing this type of brand, which basically is a home for exceptional artisans. Here, they can shine while doing paillonage, other enamel work, automatons, micro painting, engraving and sculpting.
...but I would have a tough time wearing most of them on my 7.25" wrist...they really are large. 35mm is probably a bit small for me, so I am in no-man's land... But it looks great on you : )
these do work great on 7ish inch wrists. Also some other models, for example Grande Seconde and -Moon are offered in 39mm, even if the thickness to diameter ratio there is not as balanced as with the new 41mm cases. Still, there are options
...even though I think some of the dials are spectacular.
as the case design is something very specific there. Concerning the movement I always try to remind myself that this is not the focus of JD, being supplied by Blancpain. They do great finishing work, but ultimately have to live with the sizes. The dials however ARE the focus and that shows
Looks so good on your wrist 👌🏻😘
