Amanico's 2012 SIHH report unveils the Jaeger-LeCoultre Grande Reverso 1931 in white gold, expanding the popular '1931 Family' with a unique aesthetic. This post highlights the distinctive features of this white gold variant, including its grained dial and small seconds complication, and compares it to its red dial and original Tribute to Reverso 1931 counterparts.

After the Tribute To Reverso 1931, unveiled last year, and the beautiful Red Dial, this year, now it is time to let the curtain fall on the third Reverso 1931, the White Gold version.

This is the only one, for the moment, to have a white gold case, among the " 1931 Family ".

It is also the only " 1931 " to have a small second.

And, if you pay more attention to the dial, you will notice that it is grained, like on another fine watch from La Grande Maison ", the Duometre.

The heated blue hands are just giving the small touch of life and elegance to this sublime dial.

The case shares the same dimensions than its 1931 sisters: 46 x 27 x 7, 27 mm, and, of course, you will be able to personalize your watch in compliance with your desires, wishes, dreams or tastes, as the case back is solid.

The movement here is the Cal 822 M ( M to distinguish it from the " normal 822 which doesn't have a small second ).

I suppose you want to see some real pictures, now?

Here they are:

The other good news is that it will be available worldwide, and that it is not limited.

The bad news? It is twice the price of a TT Reverso 1931 Red.

But, in my opinion, this is the chic of the chic, in the TT R 1931 line.

And, to give you an exact idea of what I am saying, here is a group picture of the three TT R 1931 side by side:

You got the message? Isn't it tempting to make the Trio?

Each of them is so different!

Looking forward to reading your thoughts and comments,

Best.

you said it all,Yes its tempting to make the trio...... They are all very nice...This wg small second has more elegance and sophistication and the grained dial is to die for,the TT1931 is a very nice tribute and the Red baby is the most trasgressive and dandy. Three beauties, blond, brunette and red....of course we want them all! Mo

I know that these 'tributes' are inspired by original watches, and in no way meant to be accurate reproductions of the 1931 watches. However, from a historic perspective, I don't believe a dial with only REVERSO to be very correct for a small-second version (should be at least LeCoultre, or LeCoultre Reverso, or Jaeger imho). I think the REVERSO-only dials were purely on the initial no second (Tavannes) versions, as recreated by the previous 1931 tributes. That being said, nice watch (although I

I did not realize that only the first Reversos came with the Reverso-only dial. Very interesting. respo

I think one cannot go wrong with any version of the TTR 1931. But this one is really elegant, and I am always a sucker for micro-grain dials such as this. With all of the color dials on teh TTR, one might call them the mood rings of JLC. ;-) Thanks for posting the lovely photos, respo

Jaeger Lecoultre or Lecoultre but certainly not Reverso. This one has to be classified in the family of " Fiction Tributes ", like the Deep Sea Vintage Chrono. Also agree on what you said about white gold. In stainless steel, it would have been as , if not even more, interesting. Best, Nicolas

It would be the red one... Just for its dandy look. Best, my friend. Nicolas
