The discussion highlights the enduring appeal of these robust timepieces and their historical significance within the brand's extensive heritage.

Geophysic Mont Antoine Lecoultre. A watch I could take in picture at the Heritage Gallery
For over 10 years J. Lambert has done all that was possible to bring back JLC to life and often right at the top amongst the best. He could handle every single facet of the Big Maison whilst ensuring that every effort was rewarded. I see it as the best JLC decade over the last 50 years. He is a champ! Your book here is a good read. Good catch ;-)
I guess its a question of leadership, positioning and market perception. But then again there are more choices for us at a reasonable price compared to some ridiculous values out there....Good luck with your new purchase!
Amazing to learn how this watch was the grandfather of the master compressor line!
Let me know if you want to borrow it, I'll mail it to you. The EL2 story is the grand finale of the book 😉
It reminds me of the 60-70's American muscle cars, excessive, silly maybe, but so characterful.
