A good pre-SIHH event can't start without a walk in the streets of Dresden. Even if I know very well the city, it is always for me a great pleasure to plunge into its charm and to visit its most famous monuments. The first day, I decided to not have a lunch at a restaurant but to take advantage of the Xmas markets to enjoy pork sausages and hot wine! Please find below some pics taken during two long afternoon walks. The hotel was located in the Neustadt (new city) area: The Dreikönigskirche: A f

The Mathematisch-Physikalischer Salon is a superb museum located inside the Zwinger dedicated to scientific instruments, terrestrial and celestial globes and historic clocks. I visited it for the first time in 2005 but since then it was closed to be renovated during 6 years. It re-opened its doors this year. The pre-SIHH event gave me the opportunity to visit it again in its renovated rooms and I must confess I didn't regret it! There are basically 3 main parts of the museum: - large telescopes
