AllThingsWatches provides an exclusive look into the grand opening of A. Lange & Söhne's first North American boutique in Palm Beach, Florida. This past Tuesday I was fortunate enough to attend the "Grand Opening" of the A. Lange & Sohne Boutique in Palm Beach, Florida. This is the first boutique opening in North America for the brand. This marks the 8th boutique worldwide for the brand. They are growing at an impressive rate yet still keeping production low. This is great as demand for these special watches grows more and more by the day. Owning one of these precious timepieces in the grand scheme of things is still very exclusive.
As in usual A. Lange & Sohne fashion no detail was overlooked. These guys are always first class with everything they do and the people of Lange US make sure of it. The team that consisted of Gaetan, Alexandra, Kate and Yana made the evening PERFECT even though there was a torrential downpour mid evening. 
Here we go. A mixture of iPhone and a Point and Shoot.
Early flight out of New York. Mixing a traditional looking watch with a very contemporary rose ring. My two favorite brands. As Gaetan, keeps telling me "there is room for everyone".
My room for the night. An amazing property. Palm Beach is very nice but VERY HUMID. It was hard to get used too, even in December!
Met up with a fellow collector and a couple of journalists early on for a few drinks.

I BEGGED Gaetan, he wouldn't sell this to me. All 30 were pretty much spoken for at the time of the press release. This was my 2nd attempt to buy it. Maybe the 3rd time it will work.
A. Lange & Sohne Zeitwerk Handwerkskunst. Limited Edition of 30 Pieces for Collectors. I was happy to at least see it in person. IMO the BEST Zeitwerk ever. Phantom is nice but this is pure class.
Among the crowd 4 owners of the Tourbograph. 3 Platinum and 1 Honeygold. Also 2 Zeitwerk Phantom Owners. Crazy to see these in one place.
Outside in the Courtyard, HUMID but no rain YET.
Dinner under the tent. It looked like Dresden. Again, Lange US doesn't play around!
They were missing a few of these at the end of the night. Better than throwing them out right?

At this point it has been raining on and off for about an hour. Our gracious host Mr. Gaetan Guillosson N.A. President of A. Lange & Sohne. He has done incredible things for the brand. A true asset to the brand and an amazing guy. He couldn't finish his speech but everyone took the rain in stride. We still made it a fun event and the food was incredible!
A little info on the Lange team, all throughout the night their only concern was the comfort of their guests. The poor lovely ladies Yana, Alex and Kate were running around trying to keep people dry, well fed and comfortable throughout the night. PURE CLASS.
This helped a lot of the guests out in the rain. Love this!

A few of us ended up going to another bar in a hotel down the street and then to the hotel to see more of one of the collectors watches. WOW. This is just a portion of what he owns. A great guy too!

Hey ATW, Thanks for bringing us this fabulous photographic journey! This is the Lange that i know of, doing everything that they hold for us to the nth degree! I want to ask though, were those words that said "Palm Beach 2012, first boutique in North America" that was on the board made out of lights or was it your camera?
