Samwan engages the community with a playful quiz, showcasing a stunning array of watches from his personal collection, culminating in the reveal of his new acquisition: a Laurent Ferrier Tourbillon. This post offers a delightful glimpse into a collector's passion for independent watchmaking, tourbillons, and exquisite dial craftsmanship. His photo essay highlights the shared characteristics and unique beauty of these horological treasures.

(A)

(B)

(C)

(D)

The answers are:

(A) This one is easy - they are all tourbillons

(B) These timepieces are all made by independent watch makers

(C) Easy again - watches with enamel dials

(D) Tricky one - watches with Roman indices

So, next question - which one is my new love?

No cigar for guessing right - the Laurent Ferrier Tourbillon

Here are two close-ups. Can you spot what is written in small fonts on the dial?

Right, Tourbillon Double Spiral

And the lovely tourby subtlely 'hidden' at the back...

I am sure you have gotten all the answers right, haven't you? smile  Sorry for the appalling images...

Cheers

Sam

... wound and running. Bravo, Sam. In so many shots of people's collections the watches are 'dead' in the box or on the table. Even at GTGs. Such a sad thing to do to a watch. But you have given them life and are a good father. :-) Wonderful collection and addition to the family. Andrew
