Team,

I was there and it was just wonderful.

I' not good with words and is hard to me to describe the trill that was to be able to meet so many Purists.

Quick note:

They are real people. Not pompous, not arrogant, not pretentious. Just good real people.

We must do something to pass this information to all persons that access this site.

Back to the GTG, I'm not go to try to describe the meeting. This was already done perfectly by Ares501 and by Jocke.

I go to try to describe the environment.

The meeting happened on a secret place (very!) and when I arrived the rooms were already full of Purists.

Loud conversation, short introductions. All in all, we were already virtual friends.

Watches everywhere. I was intoxicated by so many wonders, that I lost track of what was the "best in show".

Good wine, I barely touch the food. No time, many people to meet.

An advise: When a GTG happens, no matter on what part of this planet, go there. It's an order.

I want to say a deep thanks to the main organizers: Baron, Dr. No and Mo.

Another quick note:

Dr. No is not evil. He is the most soft and friendly person that I know. Thanks for everything, Art.

Finally, thanks to the London JLC Boutique (and the Brazilian Boutique that started the process) to host a great warm up.
It was just amazing.

Thanks to all Purists that went there. That was an early and great Christmas gift.

Cheers,

Nilo

and so many other virtual friends as you say. And of course to see some old friends too. I fully agree with you that impressions were so plentiful that food and wine went to the background and I even forgot to take pictures. Some truly spectacular watches on that table but even more remarkable owners. A great crowd - I enjoyed every minute which happily ticked away... Nikolaj

Not pompous, nor arrogant, even the greatest collectors. Just friendly, humble, with a ton of knowledge and an indisputable passion for friends, life and watches. Happy to know that you met them. It was worth the flight from Brazil! See you soon, my friend. Nicolas

I like that, and to meet, as you say, the nicest, unpretentious people on the planet. I\'ve met the best of people among our Purists on all my travels, and I agree completely with you.

I am very glad you have sacrificed yourself by flying from so far away. Also, I am glad I had the chance to speak to you a bit and get to know you better. I will join everyone else in saying that you have perfectly captured the spirit and the type of people at the GTG. I have been going to every GTG I could simply because of the feeling you get when surrounded by such wonderful people, such as yourself. And I will continue to do so as much as I can. Great food, great drinks, wonderful watches, a
