M4 excitedly shares his acquisition of a Lorige BL-E, a unique timepiece with a case machined from a Cadillac brake pad used in the 2019 Sebring endurance race. This post not only showcases the watch's distinctive design and its connection to high-performance automotive culture but also highlights the camaraderie among collectors who share a passion for both luxury watches and powerful cars.

I took the plunge on a Lorige BL-E!

I'm happy to present this very hot Lorige BL-E watch, with watch case machined from the brake pad of the Cadillac car in the 2019 Sebring endurance race.

The Cadillac brake pad pairs up well with my CT5-V Blackwing, a 668 hp, rear wheel drive, manual shift rocket ship.

The idea of joining my great friend MichaelC in ownership of a Blackwing and a Lorige watch was something I couldn't pass up. I believe the two of us will have the only Lorige watches in the country where the case was machined from a Cadillac track car brake pad. I was pushed over the edge when Lorige, with the involvement of Swiss movement manufacturer Chronode, came out with its outstanding 7-day manual winding movement for the BL-E watch. The cherry on the top will arrive soon (I hope) with a retrofit kit for quick change straps.

I hope you all enjoy the pics.

Have an excellent weekend!

Wow! Huge congratulations!

This is another very special (Cadillac) and good looking Lorige BL-E! The watch fits your wrist perfectly. And the automotive/racing theme is powerfully executed. I’m sure Michael will be thrilled that you joined him in this Lorige-Cadillac adventure! Best, Emmanuel

Thanks Emmanuel. The Lorige is a pronounced departure from my usual Parmigiani aesthetic, lol.

I like how Lorige locks in the auto racing theme without excessive dual branding splattered across the dial. I hope you are right on the growth of the brand.
