SALMANPK introduces the horological world to Luc Monnet's inaugural wristwatch, a piece that has generated considerable buzz among collectors. This article delves into Monnet's unique approach, particularly his use of the vintage Zenith Caliber 707 Observatory Movement, and explores the design choices that make this timepiece a standout in independent watchmaking. SALMANPK's personal connection to the movement, owning a similar Zenith, adds a unique dimension to the discussion.

Crash vibes although nowhere near a copy. My only question is about what I assume is the crown on the back of the watch. Does/would that affect how comfortable it wears on the wrist?
The Crown on mine is bigger and it's comfortable, I reckon the slimmer crown on the watch by Luc is even more so.
I kind of misspoke with the Crash reference. I think it is the most popular/well known asymmetric watch out there and I think new asymmetric models will be compared to it whether it was intended or not. Making the case around the contours of the case makes sense and the result is a very interesting cool looking watch.
This certainly fits well into the Shaped Movements conversation. Emmanuel should be happy to see this.
