KIH recounts a memorable Tokyo watch gathering, featuring independent watchmaker Masahiro Kikuno and fellow collectors. Despite the convivial atmosphere leading to some 'shaky' photos, the post successfully captures the spirit of community and the diverse array of horological treasures shared. This event highlights the vibrant collector scene in Tokyo and the appreciation for both established brands and independent artistry.

A small GTG was held in somewhere in Tokyo, including Masahiro Kikuno, our Casey, and yours truly, as well as some you may know....

It was so fun that I got tooooooo drank.  Sorry that most my pics are shaky and I missed so many great pieces.....

Just want to share some of the fun pieces.

Genta brothers!

Super minty.  Can't believe this was made and sold in 1964...

The last Tokyo Olympic.....

Heavy hitter....

Very well preserved Rail Watch.

And here is the Wa-Dokei first and Wa-Dokei Revised (introduced at the last Basel)

Good size.  Incredible mechanism in this small space.

Kikuno-sensei.

Okay, everybody!  My memory is a bit foggy at this time....

Great night.  Thanks, Kikuno-san and everyone!

Ken

This is what I called a drunk shot! Nice and sweet with no hangover. Tks fr feasting my eyes with those lovely watches especially the seiko Olympic watch. It design is sublime even till today like the mr Genta bro watches and can give mr Genta bro duo watches a run fr their money。

Say hi to my watch's twin brother. Thanks for the report and take care - you don't want to become the salaryman who drinks too much sake! Cheers, Mike

and some rather impressive timepieces. Of course, I always love to see Kikuno's work, so those last couple of pictures are my favorites! Thanks for remembering to take pictures even with a bit of Sake in the system..... Darren
