My father’s Mido Ocean Star Datoday, his first fine watch he bought with his first salary as a professor at Medicine School. He was not a doctor, he was a Biochemist, teaching biochemistry, genetics, pharmacology and lab techniques.

Every time I wear it proudly, I feel at the top of the mountain 😉

The case was made by F. Borgel. I love the faceted lugs and hour markers.

One day, it will belong to my beloved son.

It reminds me of a silver coin.

Best.

René

Yes, you can find several watches with this case design or a similar one, including Patek, Movado and some other, since they all had their cases made by F. Borgel. A brand that invites to dive more into their history. It was a nice surprise when I found this about the case. Best regards. René
