hs111 introduces the Ming 17.01, an independent micro-brand timepiece that quickly garnered significant attention upon its release. His initial pictorial highlights the watch's distinctive design elements and exceptional value proposition, offering readers a first look at a highly sought-after limited edition.
Friends, some of you meanwhile have seen pics & posts
in some other Forums about the recent appearance & introdouction
of a new Independent Micro brand, of the Ming watches.
Without going into much detail about essence and mission
of the founders’ philosophy of brand & these series, I just would like
to share some intitial pics about my very recent new addition of one of the
current two dial variations, one in dark blue, and one with an anthracite dial.
Both show, as sort of a hallmark a nice and nicely meticulous central spiral
guilloché central dial pattern, which will play with the hues of light and giving
an interesting impression.
As a last detail, I just wanted to mention that it is a time only, Titanium
38mm timepiece, no second hand, which has a top polished, side brushed case
with short lugs, showing the same, ie polished top, brushed lug-sides.
Its recent introduction has been for a Limited Edition of a total of only
300 pieces,150 each with Anthracite, 150 with blue central dials.
The additional amazing fact is, that the prize - without talking about
this topic in detail - is below 1K, and thus for me, it really ticks many boxes,
of a very attractive timepiece, also regarding “bang-for-the-buck”..
This should not be a review, since others have briefly done already
elsewhere and also may do so here soon in the new future and in more detail ,
commenting more on the specific features and differences of the two colors.
Thus, I just would like to share a brief pictorial of this very recent arrival for me,
actually happening after a quite lucky rather short wait, luckily catching one of
the quite highly demanded pieces of the first batch of the Limited Edition.
Lastly, let me mention, that my choice was for the anthracite dial version.
So here below, lease find some of my early pics:

Quick look fresh out of the cute wooden box - the spiral pattern plays with light

The anthracite version on a dark blue strap

Titanium case, top polished, sides & caseback brushed

Nicely done, easy to operate crown

Peeking out, with two more straps coming as a set of 3 - direct view; the central dial black

The metal guarantee card shows the same spiral pattern as the central dial

When tilting the light rays start playing different hues and exhibit the radial and spiral effects

Here the Trio of straps enclosed - you make your choice. Dress up, dress down and low-key

For me, nice strap variants, all with curved, rapid exchange pins

A look at in the middle dark brown, with a tad of burgundy

And the light brown strap to go with it - the me very nice with the central dial guillouche

Again a pleasant appeal, 38mm, balanced & low-key, but far from boring.

A final look on the prima vista mounted blue strap, where the dial appears black at this angle.
Hope you liked the little pictorial - for me indeed a welcomed arrival in my stables !
Best,
hs
PS: Thx to a Purist friend, ( you know who you are), suggesting to have a look at this newcomer !
