MTF's 2012 post about the Montblanc quiz offers a fascinating glimpse into community engagement and brand promotion from a decade ago. It underscores the allure of factory visits and the pride collectors take in their horological knowledge, even when faced with seemingly straightforward challenges. This piece highlights the enduring appeal of Montblanc's commitment to traditional watchmaking, particularly its in-house hairspring production.

Dear Forumners,
I'm both incredulous and embarassed about this free-to-enter Montblanc Contest. (embarassed because my answers are not the most frequent choices...did I get them wrong?)
I mean, "How easy or tough is this quiz"? With just a few clicks of the mouse on multiple choice questions, YOU could win a trip to Switzerland and visit one of the last traditional watch factories in the world. They still make their own hairsprings and adjust by hand in-house. You can count brands that do that on the fingers of......er....less than one hand.
They even give you the correct answers, for crying out loud ! Yeah - I admit that they threw in a few wrong answers to confuse me but still......anyone can do it, right?
So, what are you waiting for?
PuristS' honour is at stake.
We don't want just anyone on the Internet to win the prize by random clicks of the mouse......
Make it YOUR duty to bring it home for PuristS.
Here's hoping......
