May 2013 bring everyone peace and prosperity...

Perhaps this new Rieussec as well smile

Montblanc will debut "The Rising Hours" at SIHH 2013

We will talk more about this over the next few days and discuss how it works.

Enjoy, Mike

PS- Sorry to keep you guys waiting...Somehow the Chinese guy ended up with Christmas and New Years shifts at work this year :-(

Superb!

Ah ha! Day-Date Chronograph with Wandering Hours: a wonderful addition to the Rieussec stable :-) The dial is very elegant and subdued on the gold version. I see my impression that the main time dial was offset was merely a photo effect.

Ok, I give up trying to guess what it is, but aesthetically, this is very interesting.

A "Rising" Rieussec

The term "Rising" reveals all. The numerals for the day, hours, and date progress upwards towards the heavens, although once spent, the hours must inevitably fall back to earth, only to rise again when a new day is born. The story of mankind in a watch!

Interesting Twist

I like the idea of the hours at the top. Also see the days appear to the left side. Gotta see it in a black/ silver dial.

I will be patiently waiting...

.. for how the big number on top works... Seems to be the hour indicator, though :-) Interesting twist! Ken

Hmmm

I see it's got two discs in the hours, one in the background for the day/night indicator which rotates every 24 hours and one in the foreground for the hour numbers which rotates every 12 hours. A beautiful warm piece.
