Some of you may remember a contest that mkt33 posted back in April. Turns out I was the winner of the $1,000 shopping experience. I wanted to offer my thanks to Montblanc, PuristSPro, and mkt33. Also I would like to offer special thanks to Eric Holtzman, the Manager of the Montblanc Rodeo Drive Boutique and his staff for making my shopping experience so pleasurable. I selected a fountain pen, rollerball pen, tie bar, and wallet. Montblanc has some really great products and I expect I'll be shopping there again.

At some point I probably will buy one of their pen cases for my Montblanc fountain pens. The pen I just got is my second. A couple years ago I inherited a Montblanc fountain pen from a friend's estate.

You will be seeing the tie bar and rollerball at IGOTT2. I'll probably still be using my Dunhill wallet (nice and broken-in). As for the fountain pen I usually reserve them for use at home since I have had some "incidents" involving ink and clothing in the past : (
