Dear all

This evening, Montblanc and PuristSPro jointly organized a dinner in Singapore where Purists were invited to see and try on Montblanc's 2014 novelties in the metal.
The private dinner was held in Montblanc Singapore's Mandarin Gallery flagship boutique (my favorite hang out place when I am stressed out at work or by my 3 kids...)
Around 25 Purists attended this cosy event - it's like a dinner in a family atmosphere.

Mr Andreas Boesch, MD of Montblanc South East Asia and PuristSPro's Horogasm jointly hosted us for this dinner and timepieces showcase.
If I am not wrong, we are the first country in Asia to try on the 2014 novelties! As we have read from the various posts about Montblanc in SIHH 2014, the novelties this year are strong statements of intent by Montblanc to "Share the Passion for Fine Watchmaking" - beautiful and well crafted timepieces focusing on timeless classicism at very reasonable price points, so more people at various stages of watch appreciation and collection can find a Montblanc timepiece they love (and pragmatically are willing to spend on).

Here are some pictures we took at the dinner. I love such cosy events with Purists, friendly Montblanc staff and of course, lovely timepieces we can try on and appreciate.

Personally, as a Montblanc collector, I was very happy to catch up with Andreas and his team, sharing my thoughts and appreciation of Montblanc's 2014 pieces and also very happy to catch up with fellow Purists on Montblanc's watches. I was hoping that the Homage to Nicolas Rieussec would fit my small wrist but it was too big. After tonight, I have set my sights on the Meisterstuck Heritage series instead as they fitted me perfectly from the 39mm Perpetual Calendar to the 41mm Moonphase. I think the Perpetual Calendar is the top on my list amongst this year's collection.

I hope more Purists can see the new Meisterstuck Heritage series in the metal - personally, I believe this new series will sell very well with its quality and value proposition and it also represents a new pillar (and direction) for Montblanc watches. I look forward to Montblanc's 2015 collections already! I would like to thank Montblanc Singapore and the Purists team who organized this dinner and hosted us tonight. We all had a great time!

Enjoy the pictures.

cheers
robin

I hope they will extend this leather strap to other MB watches. It is fireproof and waterproof and feels very comfortable.

The Meisterstück Heritage Moonphase - very elegant and simple. A good alternative to the Perpetual Calendar for those wanting a simplier dial and not into a grand complication

The TimeWalker Chronograph 100 - very very impressive technically but I am not used to the modern looks of a Timewalker coupled with a Villeret movement

Steel or rose gold. The steel version is great value as we all know by now but I realized the rose gold version is only 1.7x more expensive than the steel version.
All other watches I know with both a steel and gold version has a price multiplier of 2+x to 3x (from steel to gold version). This makes the rose gold version also great value. Strong feeling one of these will be mine someday!

About the Montblanc TimeWalker Collection Ref. TimeWalkerChronograph100

The Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph 100 is a significant model within the TimeWalker collection, showcasing Montblanc's technical capabilities in high-frequency chronometry. It draws inspiration from Minerva's historical expertise in stopwatches capable of measuring small fractions of a second, aligning with Montblanc's renewed focus on its heritage.

This timepiece features a dual-frequency movement, allowing for precise measurement down to 1/100th of a second. The case design incorporates modern materials, reflecting a contemporary aesthetic while retaining elements like the central counter indices and the 12 o'clock chronograph actuator, reminiscent of vintage Minerva stopwatches.

The TimeWalker Chronograph 100 is notable for its blend of traditional watchmaking with modern engineering, appealing to collectors who appreciate both historical provenance and innovative technical performance. Its release coincided with Montblanc's 'Heritage' collection, reinforcing the brand's commitment to its Minerva legacy.

Thanks for the nice report, Robin.

So, finally, what do you think of the Meierstuck Heritage Chrono? Would you consider it? It seems that you fell in love with the Perpetual Calendar! Best, Nicolas

The Meisterstuck Heritage Pulsograph...

I really like it Nicolas! The movement is superbly finished of course. The dial, case everything is nice including the classy but discreet montblanc star diamond at the case. I won't get it though for 2 reasons. 1. I already have a Montblanc Villeret with the same 13.21 calibre 2. The 41mm case sits a bit too big for my small wrist. Somehow my 41mm Villeret sits better probably due to its curved back and it is also thicker. And yes I am in love with the perpetual calendar! It is really very nice

Terrific write-up of a wonderful evening!

Looked to be a great time. Happy for the lucky PuristS who were able to attend. And I hope to see that RG Perpetual Calendar on your wrist one day soon ;-)

Thanks Michael!

Yes I am worried if I get the steel version I will want to PG version later! The PG version is a bit more expensive so need to save up now till Aug when they arrive! :) Thanks for your nice comments on my post and glad you enjoyed it. Cheers Robin

Exquisite coverage report!

I've still loving the Nicolas Rieussec Homage piece. It's a superb piece and hopefully a stainless steel regular edition will be released someday. Cheers, Anthony
