AndrewD introduces the Montblanc TimeWalker Twinfly Black Titanium Limited Edition, a piece that captured his attention at a boutique. His detailed review highlights its complex in-house Caliber MB LL 100 movement, unique flyback chronograph functionality, and dual time zone display. AndrewD also shares his impressions of the watch's comfort and aesthetic appeal on the wrist.
This limited edition of 300 pieces caught my eye at a MB Boutique and I thought I would share some photos with you.
This is an automatic chronograph with the flyback feature on both the central chrono seconds and minute hands. The minute counter hand is short and has its own dedicated minute track. Circles within circles which, combined with the dial decoration and layers, adds a lot of interest on the wrist despite the monochromatic appearance of the watch. The second complication is a dual time zone with day-night indication via a 24 hour dial at 12 o’clock and there is also a large date at 9 o’clock.

Inside beats the in-house Cal. MB LL 100 which is a rather attractive movement with a skeletonised winding rotor and a lot of depth in the movement architecture with a partially skeletonised mainplate. There are twin barrels with a PR of 72 hours and the chrono function impressively utilises a column wheel with a vertical clutch.

The watch is housed in a 43mm diamond-like carbon (DLC) finished titanium case. I appreciate the lightness in a watch of this size and it sits comfortably on the wrist on an alligator strap with a simple pin buckle. I was familiar with the steel Timewalker case from my previous review, but I enjoyed this titanium version even more.

Andrew
This watch is really cool. It's so technical looking in black and the in-house chronograph has really great buttons with the perfect amount of feedback that gives the perfect amount of tactile feel when pushing the button, much like the precision weighted trigger of a gun. The trigger-like feel and black finish of this watch really gives it a cool look and a great feel, all with the credentials of an especially worthy in-house movement. Thanks for the pics Andrew! The watch looks really good on
That's my favorite too. The movement even has a "grey" treatment.
