MTF provides an exclusive look at Montblanc's presence at Watches & Wonders 2013 in Hong Kong, highlighting a private dinner and watch presentation hosted by Mr. Jerome Lambert. This post offers a unique, behind-the-scenes perspective on Montblanc's offerings, including special Nicholas Rieussec models and intricate horological displays, captured through the author's personal lens.

Lambert hosted a private dinner for PuristSPro members and The Watch magazine. Very fortunate guests! Impressive collection of watches there, better than SIHH. We didn't have the Villeret Nautical watch with gimbal stand. And they never took out the TimeWriter II out of the display case. And we didn't have "Angelababy" or any other famous celebrity neither at SIHH. Thank you for the post MTF!
Great to see you in HK Melvyn, even though it was a short one. Also glad to meet Alexander (just before I met you at the Montblanc booth). Since you have shared many great pictures, I thought there is no need to post so many now :) Just a few more pics from Montblanc at W&W for all to share :) As written on Mike's post (where he shared Mr Lambert's video), a few of us were in a private 2 hour presentation with Mr Cabbidu and Julien (with Adrian and Andreas). But we were so engrossed with the
First, thank-you very much for sharing these wonderful pictures :-) I noticed your question/comment: " I cannot figure out how the tourbillon balance wheel can be bigger than the cage?!?" INMO the ExoTourbillon concept is one of the brilliant characteristics that defines the ingeniousness of modern Montblanc Villeret. It expresses the Minerva tradition of a large, slow-beat balance wheel but cleverly neutralizes what would have otherwise been a weakness when integrated with a tourbillon regulato
I'd love to see a head to head between the Exotourbillon vs. Bicylindrique. Two tourbillon concepts which have become reality...which one is chronometrically better? Best, Mike
I too would love to see a comparison of the chronometric abilities of these watches, preferably in a 3rd party contest. So many competing brands claim superior timekeeping yet not many step up and prove it. In terms of reglage, MB Villeret would have a great advantage with very talented and expert staff at what is becoming a lost art. Not to ignore your original question as to which would fare better; the Bicylindrique Tourbillon or ExoTourbillon...no doubt the folks in Villeret already know the
Along with JLC regarding their "spherical hairspring" and many other "Horological innovations" What is the purpose of all this R&D if not to understand chronometry better? To charge higher prices? :-) Cheers, Mike
