Le Monde Edmond's appreciation for vintage Omega waffle dials highlights a captivating aesthetic often overshadowed by more common dial finishes. His focus on the untouched condition of a 1953 Omega reference 2620 in pink gold underscores the importance of originality in vintage collecting. This post invites readers to explore the charm and historical significance of these textured dials, a design element that continues to fascinate collectors.

I have completely fallen in love with this old Omega. Sure we know about Rolex waffle dials or so called honeycomb dials. The Explorer 6350 has one of the nicest waffle dials I  know but so does the early 6541 Millgaus -which is stunning. But Omega is perhaps the manufacturer that is best known for its honeycomb /waffle or guilloche - it made plenty of the in the early 1950s.  I recently discovered this Omega which is absolutely to die for. Pink gold with a wonderful 'pure' waffle dial that is completely untouched (many dials get cleaned and become unnaturally shiny). This one is just perfect. By the way this would be a great theme for the next wristscan. For now enjoy one of the best waffle dials ever made in my opinion. For those interested this is reference 2620 and the watch is from 1953.

Best Edmond

I have also had my experience with Belgian waffles. I might add that their women are also... Ok I will stop right here. ;) E

... so elegant and classy! Looks so cool on your wrist! A little cousin in my collection (with a more humble steel case) says hi! Enjoy it in good health my friend! Very cordially, Abel.
