The Omega CK2998 is a chronograph model recognized for its robust design and functional aesthetic. It belongs to a lineage of chronographs that established a distinct visual identity for the brand, characterized by a clear and legible dial layout. This reference is notable for its early adoption of a tachymeter scale on the bezel, a feature that would become a hallmark of many subsequent sports chronographs.
This reference features a 39 mm stainless steel case, housing the manual-winding Caliber 321. This movement provides a power reserve of 45 hours. The watch is fitted with a Hesalite crystal and offers a water resistance of 60 meters. The fixed tachymeter bezel is a key design element, framing a black dial.
The CK2998 holds interest for collectors seeking early examples of Omega's chronograph development. Its design elements, including the case proportions and dial configuration, represent a significant period in the brand's history. The presence of the Caliber 321 further enhances its appeal among enthusiasts of vintage chronograph movements.
Some combinations are definitely unusual (the green / YG one) and some pieces are absolutely striking (Olympic YG version - even though I am a white metals guy). So, did one of them leave with you?
I just doesn't want to take it off...most of these are demo pieces but all ready to order. Priority will be given to those with full deposit. The Tresor collection is too pricey, if only they make that MOP dial in SS and my boss will take it. For that level of price, I will prefer that new Saxonia Thin 37mm. Rgds Raymond Radioactive at its best!
I\'m with you on the Tresor - in SS I\'d probably get it immediately, as it is it competes with some watches I simply like better Congratulations on your new addition, btw. - well chosen!
Great Boutique coverage. I'm with you, about the Moon Phase. Blue or Black, I need to see "in metal". Cheers, Nilo
Thank you for the pictures Best wishes Alkiro
But now with this 9904, it should be even better, I hope. I'm very happy on this CK, happy for you and everyone here as well. So far I'm the 4th here, not counting the one in Collector's Market. Rgds Raymond
