Fernando's visit to an Omega boutique, initially to inquire about the 60th Anniversary models, unexpectedly led him to discover a limited edition piece that captured his attention. His post details his impressions of this 40mm manual-wind watch, particularly its blue enamel dial and the divisive date window, inviting community feedback on his potential acquisition.

An Omega boutique! Since I was wearing the SM300 Ti maybe it would be a good idea to visit and see what they have in stock. Just a quick look. The lady inside was very nice and I asked whether they have the 60th. Anniversary models. She said they would be in next week.

Oh well, I won’t be around next week and will probably come across them somewhere else or when I get home.

Maybe something like this to tide me over until they become available? I know, I know, the date window has spoilt the continuity of the gorgeous blue enamel dial (it truly has to be seen in real life). However, all other aspects of it ticked the right boxes for me: 40mm, a smooth & sophisticated manual wind movement and the hands and indices give it a refined but casual look with the blue dial. It's also a LE of 88pcs. I think I will be able to live with its one small shortcoming or has the holiday mood clouded my observations and made me too optimistic? We shall see. smile

Thanks for looking.

....that the camera does not actually have its focus point on the Omega boutique. The young lady, on the other hand, does seem to be very much in focus. Just saying.
