last night i won this lovely piece from my normal marketplace.

a 9ct gold Dennison cased cal 600 with original box, 9ct buckle and papers from, of course, 1964.

a couple of pics from the seller

as you can see its a fairly plain dress watch, but looks to be in mint condition with no flaws in the dial. not sure if the plain crown is original, but it looks good so i'm happy with it. case is hallmarked London 1964 and it was sold in the outskirts of London in feb 1965. to find a piece like this with box and papers is rare indeed so it was a piece i needed for my collection. only 2 questions to all you vintage collectors. 1. how did it get from UK to Poland and 2. 'who was bidding me up ?' smile

more pics to follow when it arrives.

Graham

The movement looks to be from the same litter as my "flying saucer" Geneve . We'll have to get them together for a family reunion! Enjoy, Ginger

Hi Graham, I am glad to see you back - did not read from you for quite a while... Congrats on this lovely package. Well, with the way to Poland..?? Sometimes you only wonder how they spread all over the world. Maybe a gift, or inherited, just 2 thoughts. The X-mas presents who I buy for myself are always the best - and I think it is the same with you Christmas presents came to me early this year too - but will not disclose for the moment - will be presented later. kind regards my friend Erich
