About the Omega Ref. CK859

The Omega CK 859 is a re-edition that draws inspiration from a historical Omega model from 1939, specifically a 30.10 caliber chronometer. This modern interpretation aims to capture the aesthetic and spirit of its vintage predecessor while incorporating contemporary manufacturing techniques and materials. It represents Omega's commitment to revisiting its heritage designs, offering collectors a piece that bridges historical design with modern watchmaking. The reference is notable for its faithful recreation of a specific vintage dial layout and case profile.

The case of the CK 859 is crafted from stainless steel, measuring 39mm in diameter. It houses the Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 8926, a manual-winding movement that offers a power reserve of approximately 72 hours. The watch features a domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment on both sides, protecting a silver-colored dial. The movement is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, showcasing its finishing and technical specifications.

This reference appeals to collectors who appreciate vintage-inspired designs and the technical advancements of modern Omega movements. Its limited production run enhances its collectibility, positioning it as a distinct offering within Omega's heritage collection. The CK 859 provides a blend of historical aesthetics and contemporary performance, making it a significant piece for enthusiasts of both vintage and modern Omega timepieces.

The fanfare around the CK859 reminds me of the enthusiast adoption of the IWC Mark XII, from the 1990s. This was before I got into watches, but I still went down that rabbit hole.

Finally you’ve got a CK859. The Longines looks great too. A SG couple. This week i spotted an AD who have a CK859 when they offer to write in. Not on stock, just fill in a form. Subject, this title. What watch to wear when you go to an AD? Visiting, buying, trading in, etc. I mostly wear only one watch. Always the same. It is my buddy, and it is easy too put off to fit some watches. My BM Classima. One AD even gives me a compliment my BM Classima was in perfect condition. Yes, i wear it frequent

Your Longines is an interesting peace. The Zulu time. I am making plans for visiting an AD. What should i wear? They have a nice Omega Globemaster (the perfect one) for sale where i look for some time on. The same AD who can set you on a list for a CK859. The perfect one. More specified, it is the one. Omega have as you know, and also many watch insiders a lot of great Connies, Globemasters and Seamaster. The limited editions, the Olympic games models are top notch, but have also the price tag t

Looks like you inadvertently also uploaded and then deleted a few pictures of a Blancpain (plus one of a sleepy child! ), so our system picked the first Blancpain as the Front pic. I changed it with one of the Omega photos, let me know if you'd rather have a different one. Cheers
