tdn.dk shares his latest acquisition, a vintage Omega Officer, highlighting his passion for models exclusively made for the Swedish market and military in the 1940s. His post celebrates the historical significance and robust reliability of these unique timepieces.

Hi

Been away for while, but is back now smile

Just got this in the door from Sweden. I have a weakness for old Omega's and think Omega Officer and Suverän is exciting because of the history of these watches that are made exclusively for the Swedish market and the military in the 1940s. So I have decided to find one of each to the collection.

This Officer:

Ref. CK2299
Movement: 9750555
Cal. 26,5 t3 PC T1
Ca. 1941-42

It's small but nice I think. I must have found out about to do something about it, it is probably impossible to find a proper crown so maybe I should just leave it with the patina of a 70 year old watch .

Best

Thomas

Söverans and officers were extremely popular back in their days, they were mainly sold on the scandinavians and nordic markets. They were very praised and appreciated by the military for their accuracy and reliability. Great watch and wear it in good health. best regards georges

you say it is small but it is a reasonable 33mm if my memory serves me right. Do you have any history with it? Where did you manage to find it? and what's the spares situation? Best wishes

and Sweeden is our neighbor so i often check the swedish auktions sites for old Omega's. They have the Officer and Suverän that have been sold there in large numbers, so they are often for sale. I have no story on this watch, it is bougth on a Swedish auktion site. I liked the dial and it seemed to bee in a reasonable condition, and it keeps the time well. If you want links for the Swedish auktionssites, you can PM me. BUT it is small, 30 mm ex. crown and 33 mm including the crown. Suver
