Had the pleasure of visiting the Omega Olympics Exhibition that was on during the past weekend at Kuala Lumpur City Center. It was held in conjunction with the upcoming Beijing Olympics 2008 and featured the new Olympics specialties from Omega.

I enjoyed looking at the beautiful stopwatches which caught my eye first.

The new Bond watch was there too

And I got to see the newly announced Ladies Aqua Terra up close. It has an MOP dial that was attractively finished. The movement is a miniturised version of the one in the Hour Vision.

What made the exhibition more interesting was the showcase of equipment used in past Olympic games specific in usage for precision timing required at high level sports. Definitely a pleasure to learn how, in previous games, timing equipment was employed for not only timing purposes but also photo finishes and false starts during races.

The setup took up most of the concourse and was a commanding presence.

There was also a huge countdown clock to the Olympics.

Don't forget to pick up Omega Lifetime!

Thanks for looking! Sincere thanks for Joseph Boudville, Brand Manager Omega, for walking me through the exhibits!
