Renerod's original post explores the versatility of the Omega Planet Ocean reference 2201.50.00, a watch he considers a complete package in terms of design, history, and adaptability. He delves into the common collector's dilemma of whether to keep a beloved watch on its original bracelet or experiment with various straps. His personal journey with this iconic diver highlights the enduring appeal of the Planet Ocean and its ability to transition seamlessly between different styles.

This watch is, to me at least, one of the more complete in terms of design, history or background, enjoyment and ability to dress up or down. It was bought after a long period of thinking about one watch for all situations. At the end it was a choice between the Rolex 16610 and the Omega Planet Ocean 2201.50.00. I recognize that these pictures helped a lot (as well as the difference in price).

After that, I have bought like 10 straps for it. But every time I think about taking off the bracelet, I hesitate and decide to leave it alone. Until now.

I really love the quality this watch exudes.

Thanks for looking and have a nice Sunday friends.

También pienso que una de canvas verde militar le iría bien. Que opinas? Gracias por echar una mirada y feliz domingo! Un abrazo. René

That is one sharp watch! But also not that easy to photograph, I'd guess. Cheers, Cazalea

You’re right, the reflections are not the best friends of this watch. You have to search for the right angles / lighting. But it is a sweet and enjoyable watch anyway. Thanks for looking! René

It’s a fabulous watch and I didn’t want to own a watch everyone else did.
