...but I have a Seamaster DeVille that has identical surrounds around the date window. It was given to me by my uncle. It was a graduation present from high school in 1966.
But i do like all three of them
Details were gathered from the research I made in 2017. Original condition: After having it cleaned and serviced: Details of the Seamaster Calendar including calibre and possible date of production. Hope these info will help! You got there a great timepiece. Cheers!
For a moment I thought it was broken. I had posted more photos with the case back opened. It shows 19 jewels and caliber 501.
Just some unsolicited inputs, if I may: 1. The Omega logo of mine is applied and not typed with modern logo. Mine has 19 jewels also but is made of Cal 503 with 19800 beats 2. Also mine has date change done by moving time from 11pm to 1am. I have another Omega Seamaster (bequeathed as well) with Cal 565 that does the date change by pulling off the crown. Cheers!
I noticed the printed logo. Maybe the dial was reworked? Trying to find our more. I picked up all 3 Omegas yesterday afternoon while window shopping. The accuracy of all 3 watches are still good. Will probably send them for servicing. There was another constellation with gold casing, which was already reserved. If I was a day earlier, would make a nice pair with the stainless steel constellation.
